Also, I will made more vlog later, but first, Do the poll on my blog, pick any issues that you would like to watch. I will oberseved, then I will decided and made vlog, allright? This poll will end on December 31, 2007. Thank you so much. =D

Right now, I leave some news to keep you busy: Deaf is disattracted easily than hearing do, my teacher said.

Do you agreed? Deaf is disattracted easily than hearing people do? No, I disagreed. Hearing is disattracted easily too. Hearing get disattracted by hear something. Deaf get disattracted by see something.

One time, during class, my teacher was complain that most of students tend to get disattracted by classmate or people pass by hall. But, that was not deaf culture's fault. That what deaf culture suppose be. I guess that my teacher didnt have enough deaf culture experince? Or just different opinion? But to me, I think she have no patient when deaf get disattracted.

It made me wonder why some teacher keep complain about deaf get disattracted while another teacher stop by our class and talk to my teacher, it was not bother her at all, disattracted, stop by and talking. Which one is worse?

See all of you soon. =) Keep your eyes open! And keep check my blog often!

You have a good obversation on the situation. I totally agree with you. I deal with deaf students, and I understand them when they get distracted. I would do something to less distraction, because I am deaf myself. I know them. So, be patient with this teacher. You will have her for a year at least.

Hey!

Yes, I agree that it doesn't matter if people are hearing or Deaf, they will always be distracted one way or another.

When we are in class and something move in front of our eyes, we could easily turn around to see what it is.

Same with hearies, they turn around to see what they have just heard if there was a sound somewhere.

By the way, welcome back! :-)

Hey!

From what you wrote on your blog, I guessed that your teacher might devalue Deaf culture. Ignore her comments, and try to concentrate on your studies and consider your future professional plans seriously.

If you feel that something bothers you in your class, you can talk with your parents. Then, ask for your parents to discuss this issue with your teacher. Hopefully, your teacher will be able to understand you and change her attitude toward you.

i went to a hearing school and its no different from deaf culture issues, both are easily distracted, for instance, gossip on what happen outside of school, or most of the subjects are boring and droning to the students, so they doodle or just do something else without paying attention to the teacher's lecture. concept wise. we're no different than the hearing perspective.

observe the hearing kids and their lack of paying attention, you'll see the concept. other than that the teacher shouldn't have single you out saying you were distracted easily, if that was the case she should have found a way to find something to keep you focus or kept you busy.
